Description: Mold release wax is a traditional and still very commonly used release agent in
composites molding Apply to the surface of a mold using a rag, buff off and repeat to build up
a glossy, reliable release barrier. Suitable for room temperature use with polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy resins. Available to buy regular 310g tin. The release is also used as a mold release for
parts made of epoxy, urethane, and polyesters.
- Apply wax to a small section at a time (9 square feet or one square meter) until the entire mold surface is covered.
- Allow the wax to form a haze on the surface.
- Wipe the surface with a clean cloth to remove
excess wax. - Buff each coat to a high luster.
